More all inclusive vacation packages are found in the Caribbean than anywhere else in the world. It is still a matter of debate as to why the Caribbean is so popular for all inclusive vacations; in fact more are booked on this basis than those for bed and breakfast only. Some attribute the popularity of the Caribbean islands to the predominance of this type of vacation,but the evidence for this is minimal.
It could just be because all inclusive Caribbean vacations can be less expensive overall and easier to manage,especially for people that like to know there are few other financial outlays to expect. There are even specialist packages, so it doesn’t matter what your interest or requirements are you can guarantee they will be met. For people that already have family on the islands, their requirements are minimal,these people don’t normally need to arrange for a place to stay as their relatives would be offended if they were to book into a hotel.
Although, the average visitor will find the all inclusive Caribbean vacation the least inexpensive. While many people like to book everything themselves, this isn’t always the least expensive option as operators can offer massive discounts.However tempting, this type of arrangement does not suit everyone and there are still a number of people who remain die hard independent travelers. The greatest problem for many people is exactly what they can expect to be included in an all inclusive package.
Obviously with any vacation package, the room is included in the cost unless you have just specifically booked a flight only. Although food is included in this type of vacation, it is not necessarily in others,some deals only include a breakfast each day. It is strange how many people still believe if they have booked a full board package that it actually means all inclusive!
In actual fact the difference between a full board vacation (three meals a day) and an all inclusive Caribbean vacation is quite great because the latter will also provide all food, snacks, tea, coffee, soft drinks and locally produced alcohol. Some hotels also offer special vouchers which can be used at other hotels, restaurants and clubs,this does not normally mean that entertainment, food and events are free at these places, just discounted. For a person or family booked on an all inclusive Caribbean vacation, there is little to pay,dining at sister hotels or restaurants at no additional cost is quite normal and means you do not have to spend a great deal of money even if you leave the resort.
